I've started to get more into the groove of KSU and Manhattan. It's been quite an adjustment to get to here! I'm really liking my classes, and am really liking the Landscape Design classes even more. Lots has happened since I last updated! I'll try to sum it up.
Last weekend I went with my friend Anne to a date night for her sorority. I had a blast. We had Mexican, then went to the party. We were "fashionably late", yet were the first ones. Most people didn't start showing up until around 8:30ish! The party was set to start at 8pm! It was kind of funny. Anyways, after that a group of us went to a coffeeshop in Aggieville and I had a Milky Way Mocha...twas great. Then a group of us went back to the sorority house and we watch a movie. Was a great weekend.
This week was the first round of most of my tests. They weren't too bad at all. This week in studio we're working on lettering, and that's pretty self explanatory. It's not too bad, except that I am also taking Engineering Graphics which uses a different type of lettering. I think I've discovered I don't want to go into Engineering. If I could be involved in Civil Engineering, or projects related to it, in some other way, I would be extremely excited for that. I'm really enthusiastic about Landscape Design though, and am really liking the class.
This week Horticulture Club had a Mum Sale, which turned out really well I think. There were a lot of Mums to sell, and I think we sold most of them! Also, this weekend was family weekend which was fun. My parentals came up yesterday and we went to breakfast at a little diner here in Manhattan. It was really good. We then walked around campus and I showed them where I have classes and whatnot. Got some T-Shirts (including my first purple t-shirt for games). Yes...it was difficult, but I think I can deal with wearing purple on game days. :) I went to the football game and had a lot of fun! Dinner was excellent with my family and Anne's family.
All-in-all...great weekend. Well, I hope I haven't bored anyone to death! :) Updates (hopefully more frequent, so these posts don't have to be as long) to come later.
